************************* Winnie the Pooh's plaque stolen

WHITE RIVER, ON – On June 7 at 9:40 a.m., Superior East OPP in White River received a report that sometime after noon on June 6, person(s) unknown had forcibly removed a bronze plaque from its wooden stand.

The plaque contains the history of Winnie the Pooh and the bear’s relationship to White River.

Total damage caused is estimated at $1,000.

Anyone with any information that will lead to the apprehension of those responsible is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
