************************* Furniture taken from lobby

ELLIOT LAKE, ON - Police are currently investigating a theft from the lobby of an apartment building at 3 Washington Crescent.

Sometime during the evening of August 29, 2009, and 8:30 a.m., August 30, 2009, unknown person(s) removed chairs and some plants from the front lobby area.

The furniture consists of two (2) wing chairs with a green paisley pattern and two (2) tall silk cypress trees and a smaller potted plant.

Anyone with information regarding the above theft is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Investigation continuing.

************************* Two boat motors stolen

ELLIOT LAKE, ON - Police are currently investigating two (2) separate thefts of a boat motor.

Sometime during this last week, a 9.6 Mercury outboard motor was stolen from the back yard of a residence on Hergott Avenue.

No further description available at this time.

Also missing from a residence on Albert Street is a 1999, white Evinrude 6 hp boat motor.

The motor went missing sometime between 4:30 p.m. on August 26 and 3:30 p.m. on August 30, 2009.

************************* Back window smashed

ELLIOT LAKE, ON - Mischief to a vehicle was reported to police on August 29, 2009.

Police learned that the victim had parked a 2002 Pontiac Firebird, grey in color in an open area approximately 200 m south of Depot Lake.

The driver of the vehicle and friends were camping in the area.

Upon their return they discovered the rear window had been smashed and a noted a dent in the roof of the vehicle.

Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
