************************* Credit union website wins – for the third time

SAULT STE. MARIE (June 29, 2007) – Competing against credit unions from across Canada, Community First Credit Union won four 2007 Achievement In Marketing Awards at the 17th annual Marketing Association for Credit Unions’ (MACU) Strategic Marketing Conference recently held in Banff, Alberta.

Community First Credit Union was recognized for their outstanding website, for their 2006 annual report [detail shown], for current image advertising and for promotion point-of-sale.

This is the third time Community First Credit Union website has won industry recognition. For over a year Community First Credit Union has enjoyed double-digit growth in both loans and total revenue.

Community First CEO Greg Peres credits much of Community First’s success to their marketing agency for helping raise his company’s profile in Northern Ontario. “With every communication they create, our marketing partners at Lucidia helps us build our business and our member relationships too. The recognition of Community First advertising by a national marketing association is well-deserved.” The four Achievement in Marketing awards won by Community First represent 25 percent of all the awards presented to competing credit unions with assets of more than $200 million and of less than $450 million.

No other credit union of a similar asset size won as many awards. Winning MACU’s Achievement in Marketing award is the third time Community First Credit Union’s website has won industry recognition.

Earlier this year Community First received silver for their website at 2006 International Academy of Visual Arts Davey Awards judged in New York and the website also won a silver award in the international 2006 w3 Awards. Community First Credit Union serves 15,000 members in Sault Ste. Marie and Timmins and works toward financial comfort for all those members. The Marketing Association for Credit Unions is a national 200 member non-profit organization supporting and enhancing the development of credit union marketers through education forums, conference meetings and award recognition.
