************************* Snowmobile fatality on Trout Lake

NORTH BAY, ON – Yesterday, North Bay OPP officers along with North Bay Fire and Emergency Services responded to a snowmobile that had went into open water on Trout Lake.

A North Bay couple were riding their snowmobile on Trout Lake in the area of the narrows near Peninsula Road shortly after 11 p.m. when they went into open water.

The woman managed to pull herself out of the water, while her partner was unable to do likewise.

Both were transported by ambulance to the North Bay General Hospital where Karen King, 46, of North Bay was treated and released.

Stephen Andrew Will, 56, of North Bay was later pronounced dead.

A post-mortem is scheduled for Will on Tuesday, March 17 at the North Bay General Hospital.

Karen King has been charged with exceeding 80 milligrams blood alcohol content – cause accident with fatality as per s. 255(3.1) of the Criminal Code.

King has been released and is scheduled to appear in North Bay for court on April 14.
