Heavy snowfall today into tonight.

A deepening low will cross Southern Ontario today then into Eastern Ontario and Southern Quebec tonight.

Snow heavy at times has enveloped the region and will continue into tonight.

Total accumulations of 15 to 20 cm are likely by the time the snow tapers off overnight.

The snow is also affecting Manitoulin Island with the east half receiving the heaviest amounts.

Brisk northeasterly winds of 30 gusting to 50 km/h will also produce occasional blowing snow this afternoon and evening.

Motorists should be prepared for hazardous winter driving conditions. Visibility will become very low at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Snow, heavy at times, is spreading across Central Ontario as a deepening low pressure area over Southern Lake Huron moves northeast over Southern Ontario today then across Eastern Ontario into Quebec tonight.
