************************* On Friday July 27 at approximately 11 p.m. the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service was called to attend the area of Gore Street and Albert Street regarding an assault.

Upon arrival the officers spoke to a 39-year-old male who advised he was assaulted by two youths.

A short time later the officers located and arrested two 16-year-old boys.

It is alleged that the accused youths used a skateboard and a golf club to assault the victim.

The victim suffered injuries to the face and head and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

One accused is charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of breach of probation.

The second accused is charged with one count of aggravated assault and two counts of breach of probation.

Both accused will be appearing in bail court today.

City Police are still investigating this incident.
