NEWS RELEASE

ONTARIO LOTTERY AND GAMING CORPORATION

************************* Ontario's Lotto Max bonus - more ways to win a million this week

OLG announces six extra draws for $1 million

TORONTO (December 21, 2010) - This week Lotto Max players who purchase tickets in Ontario will have six extra chances to win a prize of $1 million with Ontario's Lotto Max bonus.

This will be a one-time-only bonus for tickets purchased in Ontario.

On the December 24, 2010, Lotto Max draw, OLG will offer Ontario's Lotto Max Bonus, a series of six special draws for $1 million each.

Each Lotto Max ticket sold in Ontario for that draw can win big in three different ways: the main Lotto Max jackpot of an estimated $50 million, an estimated 10 Maxmillions draws of $1 million each - and for tickets purchased in Ontario only - six special draws also for $1 million each.

The winning numbers for the Bonus draws, along with the usual Lotto Max and Maxmillions winning numbers, will be published in all the usual places such as at retail, on the OLG website and on our Win Line (1-866-891-8946).

The odds of winning any of the Bonus draws are the same as those for winning the Lotto Max jackpot or a Maxmillions prize.

Each of the Bonus prizes may be shared if there are multiple winning tickets with the same winning numbers.

Rules for Ontario's Lotto Max Bonus are available on the OLG website or by calling 1-800-387-0098.

Ontario's Lotto Max Bonus fulfills the announcement OLG made on July 22, 2010, to provide $6 million in special prizing to be offered on a future draw.

The special prizing was committed after Lotto Max tickets in Ontario omitted the term "estimated" on the English portion of the ticket in reference to the number of Maxmillions prizes available with the June 25, 2010, draw.

The value of $6 million represents the difference between the 55 Maxmillions prizes that had been estimated for the June 25 draw and the actual number of 49 Maxmillions that were drawn, as determined by final ticket sales.

Since that draw, all OLG Lotto Max tickets have clarified that the number of Maxmillions prizes to be drawn are estimated.

OLG is a provincial agency responsible for province-wide lottery games and gaming facilities.

Since 1975, OLG lotteries, casinos, slots, and resort casinos have generated more than $32 billion for the benefit of the Province of Ontario.

Gaming proceeds support Ontario's hospitals, amateur sport, recreational and cultural activities, communities, provincial priority programs such as health care and education, and local and provincial charities and non-profit organizations through the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
