Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Blind River - Thessalon
  • Sault Ste. Marie - St. Joseph Island

Significant snowfall is possible Friday into Friday night.

Snow is expected to begin Friday morning and continue into Friday night. Total snowfall accumulations of up to 20 centimetres are possible by Saturday morning due to the lake enhancement.

This snow is the result of a low pressure system that will track over the area Friday night. At this time, there is some uncertainty in the exact track of this system and associated snowfall totals. Snowfall warnings may be required as this event draws closer.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
