Don't let your trash become an identity thief’s treasure. Crime Stoppers in partnership with GFL Environmental, Riocan and Triple M Metal are welcoming residents of Sault Ste. Marie and the District of Algoma to safely and securely dispose of their household documents at our Community Shredding Event on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017.

This year's event will be held in the Winners section of the Cambrian Mall parking lot from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Along with household documents, Crime Stoppers is also accepting unwanted electronics and scrap metal that will be properly recycled and disposed of, preventing unnecessary pollution to the environment.

All services offered by GFL Environmental and Triple M Metal is by donation to Crime Stoppers of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma District. The suggested donation for recycling papers or electronics is $5 a bag, $10 a bankers box, and $15 for a large box.

All of the proceeds from the Community Shredding Event will stay local to assist in supporting the mandate of the Crime Stoppers Program.
