Should mascara thieves be lashed?

************************* Yesterday at approximately 3 p.m., City Police were called to the Wal-Mart store, located at 446 Great Northern Road, regarding a female shoplifter.

It is alleged that the accused attended in the cosmetics section of Wal-Mart and selected $30.66 worth of mascara and make-up and hid the items in her purse.

The accused was apprehended by store security when she left the store.

Charged with one count of theft under $5,000 is Elizabeth Laforge, age 44 of 1001 Second Line West, Unit 53.

She will be appearing ion court on January 26 at 9 a.m.
