Sherri-Lynn's hissy fit at the A&P

Sherri-Lynn McBride, 29, of Willoughby Street has been charged with theft under $5,000. City Police say she put more than $200 worth of groceries into a shopping cart at the A&P on Northern Avenue and then waltzed them out the door without paying.

Sherri-Lynn McBride, 29, of Willoughby Street has been charged with theft under $5,000.

City Police say she put more than $200 worth of groceries into a shopping cart at the A&P on Northern Avenue and then waltzed them out the door without paying.

When confronted outside, McBride is alleged to have thrown her purse at a security officer and ran off through the parking lot.

They caught up with her a short time later.

She's expected in court on April 19.
