Terry Sheehan, Member of Parliament for the riding of Sault Ste. Marie, today issued the following statement on being appointed Parliamentary Secretary:

“I am deeply honoured to be appointed by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau as the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages (FedNor).

“The creation of a Parliamentary Secretary for FedNor, demonstrates this government’s commitment to furthering opportunities for people in northern Ontario by bringing our regional voice to Ottawa.

“I am thankful for the trust placed in me by the Prime Minister, Minister Joly and by my constituents in the riding of Sault Ste. Marie.

“I am committed to continuing to be a strong voice for the Sault and all of northern Ontario.”
