Shabby Motley takes off at the airport

The Sault Ste. Marie Airport Development Corporation (SSMADC) would like to welcome Shabby Motley Café to the Sault Ste. Marie Airport family.

Shabby Motley Cafe is the new food and beverage operator at the Sault Ste. Marie Airport effective Feb. 1, 2018. Hours of operation will be Sunday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Information on the food and beverage service operation is available on the SSMADC website.

Terry Bos, president and CEO of the SSMADC stated, “The SSMADC looks forward to having a new airport family member and a return to expanded hours of operation for food and beverage services at the airport. Customers have been asking for better hours of service and we feel that Shabby Motley Café is meeting this need.”

Visitors to the airport and surrounding neighbours will be able to visit the airport and enjoy a new menu that will include both hot and cold menu items, as well as beverages. The dining facility will eventually be fully licensed.

Ashleigh Sauve, owner of Shabby Motley stated: "We are so grateful for the opportunity to expand our business with our new airport location. We have been working hard to update the space, to provide the same warm and welcoming atmosphere as our downtown café. Our menu includes daily soups, sandwiches, comfort food, and plenty of healthy options. Our baker makes fresh scones, croissants, squares and cookies each day. We also feature a rotating menu from Cordelia Plant Based Meals that are all vegan and gluten free. We will soon feature a full barista menu including espresso and lattés. We are also developing a gift shop, to feature locally handcrafted items, and a curated selection of children's items from Stork and Bundle. We have received an amazing outpouring of community support with this expansion, and we look forward to serving travellers, staff, and anyone looking for a great café experience."
