Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Michigan Soo

The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Michigan Soo, Mackinac and other parts of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula. Thunderstorms are likely with some storms severe with large hail and damaging winds.

The U.S. National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the Michigan Soo, Mackinac and other parts of Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.

Thunderstorms are likely with some storms severe with large hail and damaging winds.

The watch will remain in effect until 9 p.m.

Damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour and hail as large as one and a half inches diamater is possible.

At time of writing, no comparable warnings had been issued by Environment Canada.
