************************** ATV accident on Laughing Lake Rd
The Sault Ste. Marie Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is currently investigating a multi-vehicle motor vehicle collision on Laughing Lake Road in Jollineau Township (off the Ranger Lake Road).
Preliminary findings indicate that an all-terrain vehicle was travelling on Laughing Lake Road when it struck a pickup truck travelling in the opposite direction.
The collision resulted in the ATV rolling onto the 18-year-old driver causing serious injuries.
A technical traffic collision investigator was called to the scene to assist in the investigation and Laughing Lake Road was closed to traffic for several hours.
The male was removed from the scene by the provincial ambulance and transported to the Sault Area Hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
The driver's name is being withheld while the family is notified of the collision.
The investigation is continuing…
