Second BB gun incident reported by police

************************* Male youth with BB gun arrested on the 22nd of January faces further charges

The same 17-year-old youth who was arrested by City Police on the 22nd of January at 11:25 p.m. on Gore Street for carrying a concealed weapon and pointing it at persons passing by was further charged with one count of pointing a firearm and one count of assault with a weapon in relation to another incident with the BB gun earlier that day.

It is alleged that on that same day between 2:30 p.m. and 3 p.m., the accused was in the parking lot of the Station Mall on Bay Street when he pulled out the same air pistol BB gun from his pants, pointed it at a 16-year-old male who was known to him and shot him in the chest area.

The victim did not receive any injuries.

The accused was arrested around noon on the 23rd of January while he was waiting for his bail hearing on the earlier charges.
