************************* Local elementary student arrested for harassment

A 13-year-old male youth was arrested at a local elementary school at 1:10 p.m. yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of criminal harassment.

It is alleged that for the past two months, the accused has criminally harassed a fellow student at the school.

The harassment involved name-calling and verbal threats to injure and kill the fellow student.

The accused also poked the victim numerous times with the sharp end of a compass instrument.

The accused had been previously warned by administrators and the school liaison officer about ongoing bullying and harassment.

He is to appear in court on the 1st of June.

************************* Domestic-related arrest A fifteen-year-old female youth was arrested this morning at 4:42 a.m. at a downtown residence and charged with one count of mischief and two counts of breach of probation.

It is alleged that at 4:35 a.m. this morning she attended at her boyfriend’s residence and damaged several windows, a television, furniture and other household items.

At the time of the incident she was on probation conditions to keep the peace and be good and had a curfew to be in her place of residence from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.

************************ Female arrested on outstanding warrants

Twenty-year-old Hanna Harvey of 503 Second Line West (upstairs) was arrested on outstanding warrants yesterday at 11:30 a.m. on Second Line West.

She has been charged with one count of breach of probation, one count fail to attend court and one count of fail to attend for prints.

She is to attend in bail court this morning.

************************ Break enters/ thefts

- Two Trek bikes were stolen around 7:30 p.m. on the 27th of April from the upper parking level of St. Bernard’s Tower on Queen Street East.

- A five-gallon gas can was stolen from a car port on Murton Avenue.

- A television was stolen from inside the Mental Health building on Elgin Street on the 28th of April between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
