Saultite charged with impaired driving in Sudbury

GREATER SUDBURY POLICE SERVICE

************************* Just before 1:30 p.m. on January 14, officers were dispatched to Regional Road 55 at Simon Lake Road for a single-motor-vehicle accident.

On arrival they found the 33-year-old female driver being treated for minor injuries.

On further investigation, they determined that she had been drinking.

A roadside screening demand was given, test administered and she registered a fail.

She was arrested for being over the legal limit and taken to headquarters for an additional breath test.

She registered two readings over twice the legal limit and was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over 80 milligrams per`100 millilitres of blood.

This party is a resident of Sault Ste. Marie and is on probation in that jurisdiction.

As such she was charged additionally with breaching this order.

She is currently being held for bail.
