SaultCare Medical Clinic to open at Cambrian Mall this spring

************************** SAULT STE. MARIE - (March 2) - We are pleased to announce the development of SaultCare Medical Clinic, a combination independent walk-in clinic (WIC) and family practice.

The clinic is expected to start serving the community in late spring of this year.

SaultCare will offer minor acute care, appointment-based prescription renewals, annual physicals and employment medicals in conjunction with family practice.

State of the art electronic medical records will allow easy access and sharing of medical information amongst the care providers.

At this time there are five emergency room physicians and one family physician that make up the SaultCare Medical Clinic: Dr. Mark Edwards, Dr. Derek Garniss, Dr. Cameron Lane, Dr. Donald Macintosh, Dr. Alan Mclean and Dr. Ehsan Mohammadi.

The emergency room physicians will maintain their commitment to the SAH Emergency Department as well as provide services at the new clinic.

The SaultCare physician group realizes that many of the patients seen at the Emergency Department fast-track (WIC) do not necessarily need emergency care, but access to primary care is major issue in this community.
