SAULT STE. MARIE TRIBE OF CHIPPEWA INDIANS

************************* Tribal members invited to Greektown Casino information meeting

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI - (June 25) - Sault Tribe members are invited to learn the latest information about the tribe's Greektown Casino at an informational reception to be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 7 in the Ontario I Room at Kewadin Casinos Hotel and Convention Center in Sault Ste. Marie.

The reception will feature artist renderings and photographs of the new permanent Greektown Casino, which is under construction in Detroit’s most popular entertainment district.

The event gives tribal members a chance to learn the history of Greektown Casino, see the progress being made on the construction of the permanent casino complex, and have questions answered by casino representatives.

The reception was requested by the Sault Tribe board of directors and the chairperson, who said it’s important for tribal members to have easier access to information about the tribe’s most important business asset.

The Sault Tribe made a significant investment in the City of Detroit to provide revenue for tribal programs and services through Greektown Casino.

Greektown Casino is now gearing up to open the first phase of its permanent casino complex - a parking garage and pedestrian walkway - on time and on budget in fall 2007.

A 400-room hotel and expanded gaming floor will be completed in fall 2008.

Light refreshments will be served.
