The Sault Ste. Marie Emergency Planning Committee continues to be in contact with local power officials regarding the power situation in our community.
At this point in time, there are no planned power outages for Sault Ste Marie, however people should be aware that power generation is still short across the province and citizens are urged to continue to conserve energy.
Planned rotational outages may become necessary when the regular workweek commences and the demand for power increases accordingly.
The public will be given as much advance notification as possible of any planned rotational outage.
