************************* Sexual assault charges laid

ST. JOSEPH ISLAND, ON - On Sunday July 29, the East Algoma Thessalon OPP received a report of a sexual assault that occurred on St. Joseph Island.

Dr. Paul Hergott, 56, of Sault Ste. Marie has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

- Sexual assault, Section 271 (X2)

- Sexual exploitation, Section 153 (a) (X2)

The accused is scheduled to appear in Sault Ste. Marie bail court today.
