Sault man wins $85K in Rotary draw

A Sault Ste. Marie man received a special belated Christmas gift when his ticket number 02559 was pulled in on Rotary Take Your Pick Draw.

Chris Zorzi received a call on December 27 telling him he had won a cash prize of $85,000.

The Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie has a mandate to support children with physical disabilities. 

Its Take Your Pick Draw has helped hundreds of charitable projects within the community, including THRIVE Child Development Centre, Therapeutic Ride Algoma, and United Way Sault Ste. Marie in 2023.

Proceeds from last year’s draw also supported Rotary’s high school and post-secondary scholarships and allowed three local students to represent Algoma at the Canada-Wide Science Fair in Edmonton.
