Male arrested for child pornography
Today, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Services Technological Crime Unit and Patrol Services Division arrested 23-year-old Samuel St. Amand of 185 March Street for offences relating to child pornography.
It is alleged that between the 22nd of March and the 17th of April of this year, the accused had in his possession, and made available via the internet, multiple images of child pornography.
The accused was arrested today at 7:44 a.m. and charged with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of making child pornography available over the internet.
He will be appearing in bail court today.
