The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library is collecting donations of personal hygiene items.

That includes shampoo, conditioner, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, lotion, deodorant, menstrual products, combs, brushes, razors, shaving cream, wipes, socks, diapers and resealable bags.

Unopened products can be dropped off at either library location until the end of the month.

The items will be used to create hygiene packages that will be made available to the public or donated to local community organizations.

Those who make a donation will be entered into a draw for a prize basket.
