Sault gets one more election candidate

The First Peoples National Party of Canada is expected to announce sometime Monday that it's chosen Cory Mcleod as its Sault candidate in the October 14 federal election. McLeod is a member of Missanabie Cree First Nation who lives on Rankin Reserve.

The First Peoples National Party of Canada is expected to announce sometime Monday that it's chosen Cory Mcleod as its Sault candidate in the October 14 federal election.

McLeod is a member of Missanabie Cree First Nation who lives on Rankin Reserve.

Incumbent Tony Martin, a New Democrat, will be filing his nomination papers on Monday.

Martin is facing an aggressive challenge from Conservative Cameron Ross.

The Liberals are expected to nominate Peterborough, Ontario businessman Paul Bichler as their local candidate tomorrow night.

Luke Macmichael is representing the Green Party.
