Freedom Sisters Sault Ste Marie, in its 10th year, is proud to announce our first annual Bloom for Change campaign. Freedom Sisters SSM are #Changemakers working towards ending violence against women through advocacy and education from a survivor’s perspective.

We encourage the community to join #Changemakers in planting purple bulbs to put down roots of change to end violence. Purple bulbs will be available by donation on Saturday, May 14 and Saturday, May 28 (locations and times to be announced).

The colour purple is the symbol of courage, survival and honour. It has become a symbol of awareness of ending violence against women.

As the bulbs bloom, we will be collecting pictures to create a bouquet representing the change we want to see in our community to end violence.
