Sudbury screening of De-Railed: The National Dream

'De-Railed: The National Dream' to be screened at Laurentian University June 23, 2012

The Coalition for Algoma Passenger Trains and Canadian Federation of Students invite you to attend a screening of De-Railed: The National Dream, by documentary filmmaker Dan Nystedt on Saturday June 23, 2012 Laurentian University room A226 at 7 p.m.

De-Railed: The National Dream, is a documentary examining the crumbling state of the Canadian railway system.

Having lost more than 10,000 kilometres of track since 1990, why has Canada allowed it’s “ribbon of rail” to become so tattered?

This film is an excellent tool for educating the public on the urgency of the current rail situation and the need for action to be done to prevent the loss of more rail.

This film was screened on May 30 on the Ontario National Railway’s journey from Cochrane to North Bay and is now scheduled to play at the Transport Action Canada Annual General Meeting this Saturday.

Saturday, June 23 will be the debut screening of De-Railed: The National Dream in Sudbury.

This film is very timely given the recent announcements by both federal and Ontario governments to cut passenger rail service in Northern Ontario.

Tickets are $7 and can be purchased at the door.

All are welcome to attend!
