Sault driver blows 3½ times over legal limit

Steven Folgora, 37, of 152 Trelawne Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie, was charged with impaired driving after his vehicle hit a pole yesterday on Great Northern Road. Police say his vehicle was southbound around 9:15 a.m. when it left the roadway.

Steven Folgora, 37, of 152 Trelawne Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie, was charged with impaired driving after his vehicle hit a pole yesterday on Great Northern Road.

Police say his vehicle was southbound around 9:15 a.m. when it left the roadway.

According to police, Folgora provided a breath sample, which registered over 280 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.

He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than 80 milligrams.

No one was hurt in the crash.
