NEWS RELEASE

******************************
We are happy to say that Trades Day of Caring was an absolute success. The weather turned out beautiful, we were able to complete our goal, and help local seniors winterize their homes once again this year.

We had 14 students from Sault College and six staff members from United Way Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District volunteer to winterize 19 homes. Without their hard work, this event would have not been successful.

Thank you to our sponsors; Lyon’s Timber Mart and City of Sault Ste. Marie Public Works without whom we would not have the materials for this event. Additionally, thank you to the media for coming out in support of this event.

Trades Day of Caring is an annual event with United Way Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District and Sault College which provides a free service that will help low income seniors meet their immediate needs and make support services in Sault Ste. Marie more accessible. Each October we Show Our Local Love with this event, if you have any questions please contact us at 705-256-7476 ext 209.
