Overall enrollment at Sault College is up 17.54 percent, reports Leo Tiberi, the college's vice president, academic.

In a presentation to the board of governors yesterday, Tiberi said there are now 2,051 students enrolled in Sault College, as compared to 1,745 students at this time last year.

Tiberi said the majority of the jump in enrollments was in first-year students, which are up by 26.02 percent.

The college's small number of third-year programs had a decline of eight students or 5.79 percent.

Adult training programs like hairdressing and upgrading saw some significant gains in enrollment with 225 students enrolled this year as compared to 145 at this time last year.
