NEWS RELEASE

SAULT AREA HOSPITAL

***************************** SAH warns of unauthorized telemarketing campaign

Sault Area Hospital would like to warn the public, especially small businesses in our community and region, about a telemarking campaign purporting to be associated with the hospital.

A company calling itself “Healing Hands Busy Book” or “Number 1 Book” is currently approaching small businesses in Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding area without the knowledge or approval of SAH or the Sault Area Hospital Foundation (SAHF).

This company solicits donations stating that they will send activity books to children in our hospital.

“Healing Hands Busy Book” is in no way associated with either the hospital or the foundation, nor have we been approached by this organization to seek our involvement or permission to use our name.

Sault Area Hospital and the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would like to remind individuals and businesses to be extremely careful when being approached to support causes related to the hospital.

Please call and confirm if you have any doubt whatsoever as to the legitimacy of any campaign or fundraising effort.

The Sault Area Hospital Foundation can be reached at 705-759-3848.

For more information on SAH or the SAHF, please visit: www.sah.on.ca
