Russel Demour charged with impaired driving

************************* Male arrested for impaired driving

SAULT STE. MARIE - (June 16) - On Saturday, June 14 at approximately 10:40 p.m., City police received complaints from several motorist of a possible impaired driver on Second Line East.

Officers attended the area and located the suspect’s vehicle on Black Road.

Upon speaking to the driver officers formed the opinion that the accused was impaired by alcohol.

Charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of drive over 80 milligrams is Russel Demour, age 60, of 352-A Dacey Road, apartment 202.

He will be appearing in court on July 14.

************************* Four break and enters reported over the weekend

Break and enters were reported to the following locations:

- The Market Mall IDA Pharmacy, 275 Second Line West was entered for the second time in a week. Once again cigarettes were stolen.

- A residence in the 100 block of Kitchener Road - tools taken from the garage.

- A residence in the 600 block of Portage Lane - electronic items and video games were taken.

- A residence in the 100 block of Willow Avenue - unknown what was taken.

************************* Two reports of mischief

City police received two mischief reports over the weekend.

The Amedeo’s Hair Styling shop located in the Churchill Plaza had one of its windows broken.

A vehicle parked in the 300 block of Millcreek Drive was damaged and items stolen form inside.
