Some Soo Greyhounds were sporting some non-regulation additions to their uniforms this week.

Scooby Doo stickers were offered to all the good little Hounds who sat still for their flu shots during the annual flu shot clinic at Memorial Gardens.

Shown being a very good doggie is Greyhound forward Grant McGee, #20.

Other team members rolled up their sleeves and smiled for Algoma Health Unit nurses like Wendy Robertson (shown with McGee).

Catch the virally-protected boys at home next on December 7 against the Saginaw Spirits.

And if you want to get protected against the flu yourself, here's a notice sent to us today by the Ontario Provincial Police:

******************* Sault OPP promote people to get shot - the flu shot

Sault Ste Marie, Ont. - Members of the Sault Ste Marie OPP and the Sault Ste Marie Auxiliary Unit will be at Cambrian Mall this Saturday to help promote the Group Health Centre and the Algoma Health Unit's "Family Flu Day."

This Saturday caregivers are encouraged to get children under your care vaccinated against the flu.

Members of the OPP will have a police car and the OPP Auxiliary Unit go-cart in the Kid Zone area of the mall for your little ones to crawl through.

Officers and Auxiliary members will have pieces of OPP uniforms for the children to try on while they play in the police car and the go-cart.

Appointments for the flu shots on Saturday are booking up fast so make your reservation now.

We look forward to seeing you in front of the Health Promotion Center in Cambrian Mall on Saturday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
