Robert and Curtis picked up on separate drug charges

************************* Male arrested for possession of prescription drugs

Forty-four-year old Robert Allan Johnson of 772 Wellington Street East has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance.

The accused was located on Queen Street by Gore Street and found to be in possession of prescription medication which was not in his name.

The estimated street value of the drugs seized was $1,260.

He will be appearing in court on the 28th of July.

************************** Breach of probation

Twenty-seven-year-old Curtis James Pheasant of 240 Albert Street West has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug or substance, three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance, three counts of breach of probation order and three counts of failing to appear for court.

It is believed that on the 25th of June just after 10 a.m. the accused was on St. James Street where he was located by members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team.

A CPIC check of the accused revealed he was wanted on numerous outstanding warrants for breaching his probation order and failing to appear for court.

He was subsequently arrested at 10:25 a.m. and found to be in possession of drugs.

The accused will be appearing in bail court this morning.
