Road closures Saturday for Rowswell funeral

***************************** Road closures due to funeral for Mayor Rowswell on September 4

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to advise the public that there will be several road closures on Saturday due to the funeral for the late Mayor Rowswell.

At 9:30 a.m., Wellington Street East will be closed to westbound traffic from Pilgrim Street to Spring Street for about half an hour.

Between 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m., after the church service at St. Andrew's United Church, all major intersections along Wellington Street East and Trunk Road will be closed and controlled by uniformed officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, the OPP and the Anishinabek police.

These closures will be brief to allow the funeral procession to proceed to the Port Findlay Cemetery.

The Public is advised to take alternate routes to their destinations.

If motorists are travelling in this area, expect delays and use caution.
