Ricky Luzzi charged with impaired driving

*********************** 26-year-old Ricky Luzzi of 30 Digby Crescent was arrested just after 3 a.m. this morning and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit.

It is alleged that the accused was stopped on Gore Street at the red light at Albert Street East.

Officers were behind the accused's vehicle and when the vehicle failed to proceed on the green light officers approached the vehicle and found that the driver appeared to be asleep.

When officers spoke to the accused they detected an odour of alcohol on him and the accused was subsequently arrested.

He will appear in court on August 14.
