**************************** Driver charged with drinking and driving offences

DESBARATS, ON - (June 25) - On Saturday June 23, 2007 a member of the East Algoma OPP stopped a motor vehicle on Government Road in Johnson Township.

The driver Richard E. Pollard (39) of Desbarats, Ontario was subsequently charged under the Criminal Code with:

- Impaired driving – Motor Vehicle, section 253(a).

- Over 80 – Motor Vehicle, section 253(b).

Pollard was released on a promise to appear in Thessalon Court on August 16, 2007.
