************************* $50,000 reward offered in seven-year-old murder

MATTAWA, ON – The Government of Ontario is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons responsible for the murder of Robert Minor.

On Friday January 11, 2002, Robert Minor, aged 46, was found murdered at his residence in the Town of Mattawa.

The cause of death was determined to be as a result of being stabbed.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch, under the direction of Detective Inspector Ken Leppert is continuing this seven-year-old homicide investigation.

“We have brought in additional police resources to aggressively explore all leads into this violent crime including re-interviewing a number of witnesses,” said Inspector Ken Leppert.

“The investigation into murder of Robert Minor is but one example of our relentless pursuit of justice in unsolved homicide cases and where additional resources and advancements in technology can play a critical role," said Commissioner Julian Fantino.
