******************************** Fraud under five thousand dollars - Bernice Glew (retired principal) Huron Superior Catholic District School Board

In July of 2006 information came to the attention of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service that brought into question the allocation of certain monies the property of the Huron Superior Catholic District School Board.

Resulting from an exhaustive investigation, carried out by members of the fraud investigation unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service, sixty-four-year-old Bernice Glew of 189 Reid Street, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario will be charged with one count of fraud under five thousand dollars contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada section 380 (1) (b) (ii).

Mrs. Glew was formerly the principal at Our Lady of Lourdes elementary school located at 319 Prentice Avenue, also here in Sault Ste. Marie.

The scope of the investigation, resulting in this single charge, centered around financial activity at the school in the spring of 2005 while Mrs. Glew was the principal there.

Mrs. Glew has been scheduled to appear in Provincial Court at 9 a.m. on January 15, 2007 to answer to the charge.
