************************* Arrest made in Batchewana First Nation robbery

Batchewana First Nation, Ont. - Batchewana First Nation Police and the Sault Ste Marie OPP Crime Unit have made an arrest from an October 2004 robbery.

On October 17 2004 Sewell's Gas Bar on the Batchewana First Nation was robbed at gunpoint.

Stolen was a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

Late on Tuesday January 4, an 18-year-old Sault Ste. Marie woman was arrested and appeared in bail court today.

Renee Cyr, of the City of Sault Ste. Marie, faces charges of armed robbery, using a firearm in the commission of an offence and wearing a disguise in the commission of an offence.

The accused has been held in custody.

Officers from both police services are continuing to investigate the robbery.
