************************ Walk-in clinic reduced hours on December 24 and 26

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - (December 23) - Sault Area Hospital’s (SAH) walk-in clinic will close at 4 p.m. instead of 10 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24 and Friday, December 26 due to lack of physician coverage.

Patients requiring medical care will be seen in SAH’s emergency department.

Although SAH’s emergency department is open, there will be longer than normal waits for patients with non-urgent needs.

Patients are always seen in order of need, with the most urgent cases being given priority.

Patients are encouraged to plan ahead for their non-urgent health-care needs.

Area residents can also call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000 for free access to a registered nurse who can assess symptoms and help residents to decide next steps.
