September 14, 2009 - Congratulations to Kathleen Cooke of Red Lake who won $1,000 A Week for Life playing Cash for Life (instant lottery game #1145).
Cooke, 61, opted for the $675,000 lump sum prize.
Cooke scratched the winning ticket while en route to Calgary, for a family vacation.
“I was shocked, I just couldn’t believe it,” she said excitedly about her win.
Cooke also exclaimed, “I jumped straight onto a plane to claim my prize.”
Cooke plans to pay off her car, make repairs to her home and to invest for the future.
The winning ticket was purchased at Village Corner Inc. in Vermilion Bay.
