*************************** Canadian Red Cross extending office hours to receive donations for Haitian relief

The Canadian Red Cross will be extending office hours on Friday January 15 to 7 p.m. and will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m on Saturday January 16 to receive donations for the Haitian relief.

We would like to remind the public that donations can be made online at www.redcross.ca or through our toll free number 1-800-418-1111.

Local donations can also be given at the Red Cross, Sault Ste. Marie Branch located on 105 Allard Street.

Persons seeking news from their loved ones can register the name of the sought persons directly on the following site: http://www.icrc.org/familylinks

For those unable to contact Canadian family members in Haiti, contact the Department of Foreign Affairs (1-800-387-3124) concerning Canadian citizens.

For nationals of other countries, contact the appropriate embassy or high commission here in Canada.
