************************* Male arrested for fraud-related offences

Twenty-one-year-old Mario Gelinas-Comtois of 190 Catherine Street in Sylvestre Quebec was arrested at 12:20 p.m. on Bay Street and charged with one count of fraud, one count of obtain by false pretence, one count of personation with intent and one count of possession of stolen property.

It is alleged that City Police checked the accused in a vehicle that had unauthorized plates on it in the parking at the Station Mall.

The accused falsely identified himself as another person with that person’s stolen identification.

Officers also discovered that the accused falsely identified himself once again on the 6th of October when he registered the vehicle in that same person’s name.

He is to appear in bail court this morning.
