************************* Shoplifting charge laid

Thirty-four-year-old Theodore Dumanski of 7194 Highway 17 North was arrested on the 8th of February at 1:18 p.m. at Cambrian Mall and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that the accused attended at the Hollywood Store in the Cambrian Mall around 1:10 p.m. yesterday and stole a purse.

He was apprehended by a store staff member and police were called.

The accused was subsequently arrested and is to appear in court on the 8th of March.

************************* Female accused of assault

Thirty-two-year-old Lee-Ann Perrault of #5-154 Albert Street East was arrested on the 8th of February at 5:35 a.m. at her residence and charged with one count of assault.

It is alleged that on the 8th of February just after 5 a.m., the accused was at the residence of a female known to her and assaulted her.

The victim received non-life-threatening injuries that did not require medical attention.

The accused appeared in bail court yesterday morning.

************************* Woman charged with theft

Twenty-five-year-old Rhea Desmond was arrested on the 8th of February at 5:10 p.m. Queen Street East.

She was wanted for a theft that occurred on the 23rd of January when she allegedly attended at the residences of a person known to her and stole a laptop.

She is to appear in court on eh 29th of March.

************************* Break and enters

A residence on Dennis Street was entered yesterday afternoon.

Some cash was reported stolen.

************************* Vehicles broken into A vehicle parked in the underground parking at St. Bernard’s Tower and one at the Kohler Street Apartment complex were both damaged when they were broken into overnight.

A change purse and a phone charger were reported stolen.
