PUC working to restore power in several areas (Update: fully restored)

9:32 a.m. update

Power has been restored to all customers. If you are still without power please call the PUC Emergency number at 759-6555.

9 a.m. update

The outage in the west end has been restored. The power outage in West Ridge, Cabot, and Fort Creek Drive area is still ongoing.

7:48 a.m. update

Crews have restored customers on Third Line East, Industrial Courts A and B, Greenfield Subdivison and Old Goulais Bay road. Fork Creek area remains off while crews investigate further. Fort Creek Dr, Westridge and Cabot Cr are still without power as crew investigate.

Most customers were restored at:  7:30 a.m. 107 remain without power.

This is a description of an unplanned power interruption(s) that is currently affecting PUC Distribution customers in Sault Ste. Marie.If you have any information leading to the cause of the outage or other concerns please call the PUC emergency number at 759-6555.

Interruption date:  Feb. 8, 2019 at 4:11 a.m., 6:47 a.m.
Customers affected:  711 and 1114

Cause of interruption: Undetermined power outage 

Description of area involved: Crews are investigating a power outage in the area of Third Line East from Great Northern Rd to Peoples Rd., Industrial Courts "A" & "B", north end of North St., Mary St. Fort creek Subdivision, Old Goulais Bay Rd north of Third Line and Greenfield Subdivision. 

Crews are also investigating an outage in the area of Third Line north to city limit and east of Maki Rd. Maki Rd north to Lakeshore Dr. South of Second Line; west of Allen's Side Rd to Airport Rd and Point Des Chene
