1 p.m. update OPP wish to advise the public that Hwy 17 and Hwy 6 at Espanola are now open to traffic. Original 9:45 a.m. advisory The Sudbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police advise that Highway 17 Highway 6 at Espanola are closed.

OPP wish to advise the public that Hwy 17 and Hwy 6 at Espanola are now open to traffic.

The Sudbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police advise that Highway 17 Highway 6 at Espanola are closed.

The highways have been closed by protestors and a detour is not available.

The OPP say the expected duration of this road closure is unknown.

The O.P.P. will distribute details and updates of the road advisory as information becomes available.
