Awaiting post-mortem results

IROQUOIS FALLS - (March 17) - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigation into the sudden death at the Monteith Correctional Complex is continuing.

On Monday, March 16, a post-mortem was conducted on Barry Vincent Manion at the Laurentian Hospital in Sudbury.

At this time, no foul play is suspected however, investigators are waiting for the complete results of the post-mortem which will not be available to the OPP for a number of weeks.

The body of the inmate was located in his cell by Monteith Correctional Complex staff on the morning of Friday, March 13.

The investigation is being conducted under the direction of Detective Inspector Guy Faucher, OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
