GOULAIS TOWNSHIP – On August 5, 2014 at approximately 6:50 pm Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of possible gun shots fired in the 100 block of Harmony Beach Road.

Officers arrived on scene and located a male hiding behind a building.

As a result of further OPP investigation, Peter MEAD, 66 years old of Louise Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was arrested and charged with one count of Careless Use of a Firearm and four counts of Careless Storage of a Firearm contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused was released on a Promise to Appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on September 15, 2014.
